The Les Foules Trio
NATHALIE ADLAM trained as a director at Drama Centre London, and has taught and directed at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the MA Acting course. She has worked as director on Henry IV parts 1 & 2, Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing and The Winter’s Tale in the Webber Douglas Studio. She started up Les Foules in 2011 to create works that focus on inventive readings of classical texts, and which use the multi-disciplinary skills of cast and create atmospherically dynamic worlds. Her work with Les Foules has since broadened and she makes theatre of all kinds - for all kinds. She has either directed, devised, designed and/or performed in every Les Foules show to date and presented work at Theatre Delicatessen, the Bush, the Space, the Rich Mix, the National Theatre of Uganda, Vault Festival, Montreal Fringe Festival, and the Roundhouse.
PETER WIEDMANN trained in the UK at Central School of Speech and Drama and at the American Conservatory Theatre's STC in San Francisco, and has directed and performed on four continents. As a member of The Performers he toured extensively throughout Latin America and Spain, and participated in workshops with El Teatro de Los Andes and at El Camarín de Las Musas, where he wrote and performed A La Sombra De Los Muelles. He has performed with Rhum and Clay, Grid Iron, Moving Stories, Lazarus Theatre, Theatre De La Jeune Lune, and St. Louis Shakespeare, and appeared on tour in the UK and at the Edinburgh International Festival, Southwark Playhouse, The Bush, and The Minack. With Les Foules, he adapted and directed Resources of Quinola, adapted When We Dead Awaken, by Henrik Ibsen, co-directed Much Ado About Nothing, Cymbeline, and Boxed and Bagged, and co-created original music for Cymbeline, Boxed and Bagged, and Britannicus. As a musician, he plays in London with the blues band, Erik Wellington and the Junkers, and has toured with the Macalester College African Music Ensemble and St. Louis-based Dub Kitchen. As well as being a core company member of Les Foules, Peter is Venue Manager for Theatre Delicatessen.
NADÈGE ADLAM is an actor , designer and trainee in psychodynamic therapy. She trained as an artist at Chelsea College of Art. Whilst studying at Chelsea she focused on installation work where she became fascinated with how an area or place can tell a story of its own. After working on the London Fringe scene as an assistant designer her desire to act took centre stage and she trained at Central School of Speech and Drama on the Classical Acting course. She continues to work as both an actor and designer. Her design work includes art direction for Anne Voss films, assistant design work at the Arcola theatre in London, regular design work at Central School of Speech and Drama. As an actor she has performed in many Les Foules' shows. She played Jenny in the Bafta Award Nominated film Hold on Me by Samuel Abrahams and has worked in Holland on the film People of the Source by Juriaan Booij.
